Altar Serving at St. Mary’s Cathedral is open to boys and girls who have made their First Communion. New servers are trained by Joe Putos. A new section will soon be added to the altarservers’ website that will profile or tell a little bit about our servers as individuals including when they started to serve, why they serve, what they enjoy about serving, etc..

Bring the book up to the presider when you hear him say “Let us Pray”. This happens at the beginning and end of Mass. While waiting for this you can open and hold the book in the right spot.

Make sure that your alb is long enough that it comes down as far as your ankles. If you started with a shorter alb but have grown it is time to look for a longer alb.
