Christ instituted the sacraments of the new law. There are seven: Baptism, Confirmation (or Chrismation), the Eucharist, Penance, the Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders and Matrimony. The seven sacraments touch all the stages and all the important moments of Christian life: they give birth and increase, healing and mission to the Christian’s life of faith.
Through Penance, the faithful obtain pardon from the mercy of God for the offenses committed against Him and are reconciled with the Church, which they have wounded by their sins.
In order for the men’s shelter to open for the winter we need men to sign up. We need your generosity. We will begin Jan 2nd and go to the end of April. If you could volunteer for one of these shifts one day each week it would be a great help. Training will be provided. Please contact Ann Lyng at firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up or for more information.
